PocketMD, LLC. is a privately held company founded in Palm Beach, Florida. The company develops, markets and sells miniature CDs that are called PocketMD CDs. The company obtains your medical information through a HIPAA compliant method then digitizes your records onto a credit card size CD that fits in any computer that has a CD drive. The CD contains the software that allows the user to view all of the data that you have placed onto the CD. The information can be customizable to each patient's need.

"Your Medical Records and Physician in Your Pocket". Our company's mission is to provide a business card mini PocketMD CD for every health related individual in the world. We want to provide our customers with superlative service and impeccable quality. We believe that our service could one day save your life!

Objective of the Company

The company's vision is to provide a patient PocketMD CD to every person who has had any medical interactions and who wants to have their most current information available with them at all times. We plan to have the information translated into every possible language and have the ability to upgrade a PocketMD CD throughout the year, even with multiple physicians.

Security and Privacy

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), mandates standards and requirements for maintenance and transmission of health information that identifies individual patients. HIPAA specifies that all healthcare organizations that maintain or transmit electronic health information must comply with these standards. PocketMD's compliance officer and compliance committee will ensure that the HIPAA regulations are properly addressed in individual implementation of the software utilizing the best encryption solutions available.

It is the policy of PocketMD to preserve the integrity and the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) pertaining to our clients. The purpose of this policy is to ensure that our business practices will strive to protect the confidentiality of the Personal Health Information (PHI) of our clients to the highest degree possible. Our Clients need not worry about providing information to PocketMD for the sole purpose of creating a portable digital medical record.

PocketMD will in fact:

Collect PHI from Health Providers with HIPAA Compliant client / patient authorizations, use and disclose PHI only in conformance with current patient covenants and / or authorizations, as appropriate. PocketMD will not use or disclose PHI for uses outside of PocketMD's sole stated purpose of creating a portable digital medical record for the client, and as such will not use this information for marketing, employment, life insurance applications, etc. without an authorization from the patient.

Recognize that our clients have a right to privacy. PocketMD business practices will respect the patient's individual dignity at all times. PocketMD will respect client's privacy to the extent consistent with providing the highest possible quality service in converting PHI to a portable digital medical record and with the efficient administration of the facility. PocketMDwill implement reasonable measures to protect the integrity of all PHI maintained about our clients.

PocketMD will treat all PHI as sensitive and confidential, and will not disclose PHI data unless the patient (or his or her authorized representative) has properly authorized the release, or the release is otherwise authorized by law.

PocketMD customer service was designed and is supervised by an experience medical staff consisting of a physician and an individual that has more than 24 years experience in the medical field. The combined medical experience on the management side of the business exceeds 100 years! Our quality control programs that have been written and trained to our staff will insure the quality is our number one mission within our company. Our customer service will consist with the first line of response which will be to answer any of your concerns via our 24 hour / seven days per week on-line customer service. We guarantee that you will receive a response within 24 hours from the time we received your request. In addition, we will make available a live customer service department to answer your questions and concerns. Our focus is to "Do whatever it takes to make you Happy" philosophy.
